Former High School Drop Out Returns to School, Conquers Learning Disability, and Earns High School Diploma at 21

Here's a story that can give many of us hope and motivation.  The GettingHired community congratulates this student who dropped out of high school because of the difficulties posed by a learning disability and returned three years later as a special education transfer student.  Congratulations, Ms. Lancaster, on your high school graduation!  We predict that good things are in your future!

Uniquea Lancaster, 21, finishes high school seven years after dropping out

At 21, Uniquea Lancaster is slightly older than the average high school senior, but the former high school dropout had an above-average drive to graduate from Fairmont Heights High School.

Lancaster walked the stage June 10 at Upper Marlboro's Show Place Arena as a graduate of the Capitol Heights school, a feat that seemed distant when she dropped out of school seven years ago because of a frustrating learning disability.
