Assistant Secretary
of Labor for the Office of Disability Employment Policy Kathy Martinez signed
an alliance agreement with the Assistive Technology Industry Association
earlier this month. Through this collaborative relationship, ODEP and ATIA will
disseminate effective practices and provide expertise regarding assistive
technology and information and communications technology accessibility
strategies that advance the employment of people with disabilities. "ATIA
has been a wonderful partner to us in the past, and I am so pleased that we are
formalizing plans to continue our efforts, and conduct a range of joint education
and outreach activities related to accessible workplace technology," said
Martinez.
