Provided below is a poem of mine titled "Women Hold Up Half The Sky." "Women Hold Up Half The Sky" appeared on a calendar produced in 2007 by the Southeast Kansas Independent Living Resource Center (SKIL). "Women Hold Up Half The Sky" was written to honor Justin Dart's wife Yoshiko and women in general.

WOMEN HOLD UP HALF THE SKY
Regal as an eagle
Gentle as a dove,
Compassion deeper
Than any ocean
And as high as the clouds above.
Progenitors of generations
Yet to come,
Who nurse and teach
Till their days are done,
And who can deny
That the loving arms of women
Reach out---
To hold up half the sky?

I have written a manuscript of unpublished poems titled "Reflections on the Human Condition." Someday, and somehow, perhaps I will be able to find a publisher who might have an interest in the previously described. I have always hoped that my poetry would be a vehicle via which I could improve my general life circumstances, and I still hold on to that dream.
