NIGHT TRAIN --- Dedicated to ADAPT (The Poetry of James Magill)

Provided below is a poem of mine titled "Night Train."  "Night Train" is a song about dignity, pride, and hope.  I would like to dedicate this poem to the wonderful people who support ADAPT!

NIGHT TRAIN

The night train out and running

Surely considers the distant stars,

Tickets and reservations are canceled

Due to an anticipated jubilee celebration.

Looks just like Saint Elmo's fire

Travelers are few and the miles many

Carries no baggage of pain or sorrow,

And confusion is left with the keeper at the gate.

So when the night train out and running

Brakes for its final destination,

All riders will begin to dance and sing

Because it's going to be that glory station. ~

I have written a manuscript of unpublished poems titled "Reflections on the Human Condition."  Someday, and somehow, perhaps I will be able to find a publisher who might have an interest in the previously described.

I have always hoped that my poetry would be a vehicle via which I could improve my general life circumstances, and I still hold on to that dream.
