Hello,
My name is Rebecca Fortelka I have Cerebral Palsy and I am a Sophomore in college
studying business management and minoring in web design. I was
wondering if you knew of any internships in the bay area of Ca dealing
with either web design or business. Here is my portfolio site www.rebeccafortelka.com

Please let me know and thanks for your help!

Hello Rebecca,

Unfortunately, at this time, our current employers do not have any internship opportunities posted in your area and field.  One suggestion as we continue to add new employers and thousands of new jobs each week, is to go to our Find Jobs page, and enter "internship" or "web internship" (no quotes) as your keyword, enter your zip code and leave all other fields blank.  Then click the "Additional Search" link to add a radius to your search and click the "Find Jobs" button.  This will maximize your search for internships.  You can also try searchs with different zip codes that make sense for you.  If no results are found, make sure to click the "Create a Job Alert for this search now" link which will alert you by email when there are jobs added that match your search query so that you'll be the first to know.

Good luck!

Dear Rebecca,

Internships are such an excellent way to obtain real-world experience, to connect with others with whom you may be able to network later on, and to assure yourself that you're on the right track with the career decisions you have made so far.  Your portfolio looks great and will definitely open internship and employment doors for you.  Congratulations on creating such an accessible and informative web site.

You may want to check with your college's career development office, or with the office of disabled student services on your campus, and your local vocational rehabilitation office (which you can do a service provider search using Gettinghired to find your local vocational rehabilitation office) should also be able to provide help with locating and fascilitating internships that are accessible to your campus or current  living arrangements.

You can use our job search link to look for part time jobs while you finish up school if that is something you're interested in as well. Click on the Find Jobs tab and enter keywords of the type of job you might be looking for as well as part-time. Also add your city, state, and zip code.

Best of luck and hope this helps!
