I would like to introduce myself to the GettingHired community. My name is Nicole Taylor and I am a 28 year old amputee, and a single mother of a beautiful blue-eyed baby girl who just turned the big "1" last month. I am very eager to find a job so that I can take care of my daughter and myself.
I had a freak accident almost 10 years ago that resulted in the amputation of my right leg. Before my accident, I was a very active person, and I am still active as much as I can be while being in a wheelchair. The reason I do not have a prosthesis is because the one I want is not covered by my insurance, and the one that is covered does not work good. I am young and deserve a quality "leg" and I won't settle for less. This is another important reason why I need a job.
The one good thing about me is the fact that I am a hard worker. I am a lot like my mother, who is a nurse in a nearby prison and works almost everyday of the week. Wow... some of the stories she brings home! I am never one who is late or doesn't like to work. I WANT to work. I WANT to provide for me and my daughter. I have great integrity and I am very reliable.
I joined Getting Hired because I hope to find something that will allow me to excel so that my daughter and I can get on the road to a better life.
Nice to meet everyone!
